This study aimed to determine the relationship between residential distance and patient visit patterns with the utilization of Putri Ayu Community Health Center, Jambi City. This study employed a quantitative method with an analytical observational design using a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of patients residing within the working area of Putri Ayu Community Health Center, Jambi City, during the period of January–December 2025. The total population was 35,640 patients, and a sample of 100 respondents was selected using the accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that most respondents lived close to the community health center (91 respondents; 91%), had regular visit patterns (96 respondents; 96%), and utilized the community health center services (94 respondents; 94%). Bivariate analysis revealed that there was no significant relationship between residential distance and the utilization of Putri Ayu Community Health Center, Jambi City (p-value = 0.499 > 0.05). However, patient visit patterns were significantly associated with the utilization of Putri Ayu Community Health Center, Jambi City (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Maternal characteristics, including pregnancy interval, maternal age, and parity, are recognized as important factors influencing the progress and duration of labor. Early identification of these risk factors is essential to improve maternal healthcare services and reduce obstetric complications.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between pregnancy interval, maternal age, and parity with the duration of the first stage of labor among women delivering at the Delivery Room of Anutapura General Hospital, Palu.

Methods: This study employed a quantitative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from May to June 2020 and involved 33 mothers who delivered at the Delivery Room of Anutapura General Hospital, Palu. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. Odds Ratios (ORs) were calculated to estimate the strength of the associations between maternal characteristics and prolonged first-stage labor.

Results: The findings revealed significant associations between pregnancy interval and the duration of the first stage of labor (p = 0.005; OR = 20.0), maternal age and the duration of the first stage of labor (p = 0.004; OR = 33.3), and parity and the duration of the first stage of labor (p = 0.009; OR = 13.7). Mothers with an inadequate pregnancy interval, those aged below 20 years, and primigravida mothers were more likely to experience prolonged first-stage labor than their respective counterparts.

Conclusion: Pregnancy interval, maternal age, and parity were significantly associated with the duration of the first stage of labor. Early identification of these maternal risk factors during antenatal care is recommended to support timely interventions, improve labor management, and reduce maternal and neonatal complications.
mutmaina mutmaina Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/948 Tue, 28 Jun 2022 00:00:00 +0000 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EFFORT–REWARD IMBALANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCE PERFORMANCE AT THALIA IRHAM GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2026 https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/942
Human resource (HR) performance is a crucial factor in determining the quality of hospital services. However, excessive work demands that are not balanced by adequate rewards may reduce employee motivation and productivity. One psychosocial factor that can influence employee performance is Effort-Reward Imbalance (ERI), a condition in which the efforts expended by workers are not proportional to the rewards they receive. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between Effort-Reward Imbalance and HR performance at Thalia Irham General Hospital in 2026. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was employed. The sample consisted of 120 healthcare and supporting staff selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the ERI questionnaire and a validated and reliable HR performance assessment instrument. Data analysis was conducted using the Chi-square test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that most respondents experienced high ERI levels (58.3%) and demonstrated moderate to low performance (61.7%). Bivariate analysis revealed a statistically significant relationship between Effort-Reward Imbalance and HR performance (p = 0.001). Employees experiencing high ERI were more likely to exhibit suboptimal performance compared to those with lower ERI levels. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between Effort-Reward Imbalance and HR performance at Thalia Irham General Hospital in 2026. Therefore, improving reward systems, work recognition, and workload balance is necessary to enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
Ardianti, Mohammad Ardani Samad Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/942 Thu, 25 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000
