To mitigate this, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to regulations, such as PERBAPETEN No. 4 Year 2020, is mandatory, including aprons, thyroid shields, Pb gloves, and Pb glasses. This study analyzed the availability and suitability of radiation protection PPE in the Radiology Installation of X Hospital based on PERBAPETEN No. 4 Year 2020 and Minister of Health Decree No. 1250 Year 2009.

Using a Descriptive Comparative mixed-methods design, data were collected through observation (checklist sheets) and interviews at the Radiology Installation of X Hospital (April-June 2022). Results showed that PPE availability was incomplete; aprons and thyroid shields were 100% available and compliant with standards (apron 100% of 7 elements, thyroid shield 100% of 4 elements). However, Pb gloves and Pb glasses were unavailable, though they were in the procurement process. This incompleteness indicates a procurement management gap. Recommendations include expediting the procurement of missing PPE and regular monitoring and evaluation to optimize radiation risk management and standard compliance.
Shelly Angella, Muhammad Pratama Yulistio Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/685 Sat, 10 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0000 DEVELOPMENT OF A DISEASE REPORTING SYSTEM BY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS TO ENHANCE HEALTH INFORMATION IN PEKANBARU CITY https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/672
Pekanbaru City has 21 community health centers (Puskesmas), whose distribution influences the spread of diseases, including communicable, non-communicable, and chronic diseases. This study aims to design a web-based prototype to assist Puskesmas in routinely reporting disease data to the Pekanbaru City Health Office and to provide public access to disease information. A quantitative experimental method with a development research design was used. Data on the most prevalent diseases were collected through observation and documentation, then processed into a database. The research was conducted from January 31 to June 3, 2024. The resulting prototype was developed using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and is accessible via smartphones. Functional and feasibility tests confirmed the system works properly and is ready for use. This disease reporting and information system helps streamline data submission by Puskesmas and enhances public access to health information. It is recommended that the local government support its development and implementation across all Puskesmas in Pekanbaru.
Bobi Handoko; Tasya Yuna, Marian Tonis, Abdul Zaky Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/672 Tue, 06 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 ANALYSIS OF MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT AT BHAYANGKARA HOSPITAL PEKANBARU IN 2024 https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/663
Medical records are documents that contain patient identity data, examinations, treatment, procedures and other services that have been provided to patients. Quality and effective medical records require several adequate factors at Bhayangkara Hospital. Management of medical records is still inadequate, indicating obstacles in the level of human resource competency, SOPs and infrastructure. The aim of the research is to determine the management of medical records at Bhayangkara Hospital in 2024. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 4 people. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of the research found that the number of human resources in the Medical Records unit was 13 people, not in accordance with the standards for Type C Hospitals. SOPs already existed and were in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Health but had not been socialized and posted in the Medical Records room. And the infrastructure already exists but is not adequate, such as shelves for medical record files, lack of computers, scanning machines and trolleys for medical record files. The research concluded that Medical Records Human Resources (HR) were inadequate, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) were in accordance with the Ministry of Health but had not been socialized and infrastructure was still lacking and inadequate. It is recommended to further improve the quality of Human Resources (HR), improve education and training, for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) so that SOPs are displayed clearly in the medical record area and increase socialization about these procedures. and optimize and increase the number and quality of infrastructure facilities in the medical records room.
Leon Candra, Giffa Zira Chairunnissa, M.
