These factors shape an individual's perception and preference for healthcare services, which can be further influenced by positive emotional stimuli. This study aims to analyze the influence of social and cultural factors as the basis for decision-making in selecting physiotherapy services through positive emotional stimuli. The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey involving respondents who have used or are currently using physiotherapy services. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using inferential statistical methods to examine the relationship between social factors, cultural factors, positive emotional stimuli, and the decision to choose physiotherapy services. The results indicate that social factors, such as recommendations from family and friends, and cultural factors, such as values and beliefs regarding traditional and modern treatments, significantly influence the decision to choose physiotherapy services. Additionally, positive emotional stimuli, such as a sense of comfort and trust in physiotherapists, strengthen the relationship between social and cultural factors and decision-making. Therefore, understanding social and cultural factors and implementing strategies that foster positive emotional experiences can be effective steps in enhancing the acceptance and preference for physiotherapy services.
Wiwik Suryandartiwi Anggarawati, Sherly Mutiara, Marian Tonis, Fauzan Agus Santoso Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management (JHAM) https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/587 Wed, 20 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NUTRITIONAL STATUS AND SPORTS ACTIVITY WITH PHYSICAL FITNESS LEVEL AT SMAN 6 PEKANBARU https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/586
Physical fitness is an essential factor in supporting students' health and academic performance. Nutritional status and sports activity play a role in determining a person's level of physical fitness. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and sports activity with the physical fitness level of students at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. This study employs a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample consists of students from SMAN 6 Pekanbaru selected using the purposive sampling method. Nutritional status was measured using Body Mass Index (BMI), sports activity was assessed through a physical activity questionnaire, and physical fitness was evaluated using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI). Data analysis was conducted using statistical correlation tests to determine the relationships between the study variables. The results showed a significant relationship between nutritional status and sports activity with students' physical fitness levels (p < 0.05). Students with normal nutritional status and higher sports activity levels exhibited better physical fitness compared to those who were less active or had non-ideal nutritional status. Therefore, maintaining a balanced diet and engaging in regular exercise is crucial for improving students' physical fitness.
Sherly Mutiara, Wiwik Suryandartiwi Anggarawati, Faiz Ilham, Lisvia Najla Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management (JHAM) https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/586 Sat, 10 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0700 THE ROLE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY IN PREVENTING OVERUSE INJURIES IN MARATHON RUNNERS https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/585
Overuse injuries are common among marathon runners due to high training loads and repetitive movements. Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in preventing overuse injuries through rehabilitative and preventive approaches, including strength training, stretching techniques, and proper biomechanical education. This study aims to analyze the role of physiotherapy in preventing overuse injuries in marathon runners. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive design using in-depth interviews and observations with marathon runners undergoing preventive physiotherapy programs. The sample consists of professional and amateur marathon runners experiencing early symptoms of overuse injuries. Data were analyzed to identify the most effective physiotherapy interventions in reducing injury risks. The results indicate that physiotherapy programs incorporating core and lower limb strengthening exercises, dynamic stretching, and biomechanical correction techniques significantly reduce the risk of overuse injuries in marathon runners. Additionally, education on training load management and recovery contributes to long-term injury prevention. Therefore, physiotherapy should be an integral part of marathon runners' training programs to maintain optimal performance and prevent injuries.
Marliana, Rezki Amalia Nurshal, Muhammad Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Hospital Administration and Management (JHAM) https://journal.univawalbros.ac.id/index.php/jham/article/view/585 Thu, 29 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +0700
