PENATALAKSANAAN RADIOTERAPI PADA KLINIS CA MAMMAE DI INSTALASI RADIOTERAPI RSUD ARIFIN ACHMAD PEKAN BARU

Abstract

Cancer a disease characterized by abnormal cell growth and the ability to spread between cells  and body tissues. In 2014, there were 232,000 new cases of breast cancer in women in the United  States with a death rate of 40,000 cases. Breast cancer worldwide is a malignancy in breast tissue  that forms lumps or masses called malignant tumors. This study aims to examine the  management of radiotherapy in mammary causation cases in the radiotherapy installation at  Arifin Achmad Hospital, Pekanbaru. This research was observed for 1 month in the radiotherapy  room. The radiotherapy process includes CT simulation, treatment planning system (TPS), and  LINAC verification. The results emphasize the importance of accurate radiation planning to  maximize therapeutic ratios while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue. This case report uses a  descriptive qualitative research design that connects field observations and documentation.  During the observation, the procedures used were in accordance with the theory carried out.
