ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SELF-SERVICE REGISTRATION KIOSK USING TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL AND END-USER COMPUTING SATISFACTION AT RSUD WATES

Abstract

The implementation of the Self-Service Registration Kiosk (APM) at RSUD Wates is one of the efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of outpatient registration services. However, the utilization of APM has not been optimal. In 2025, APM usage accounted for only approximately 32% of total outpatient registrations, while around 68% of patients continued to register through the manual registration counter. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of APM utilization at RSUD Wates based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS). This study employed a descriptive quantitative method involving 98 APM users selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability and were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that based on TAM, the mean scores of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward using, behavioral intention to use, and actual use were 3.89 (agree), 2.50 (disagree), 3.01 (neutral), 3.39 (neutral), and 2.98 (neutral), respectively. Based on EUCS, the mean scores of content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness were 3.73 (satisfied), 4.28 (very satisfied), 3.93 (satisfied), 2.54 (dissatisfied), and 4.05 (satisfied), respectively. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of APM utilization at RSUD Wates has not been fully optimized. Although the system is perceived as useful and provides high-quality information, ease of use remains the main aspect that needs improvement to support the sustainable utilization of APM.
