The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in hospitals has brought about changes in the patient registration process and staff workload. The transition from a manual to an electronic system has led to a shift in job responsibilities, necessitating an analysis of staffing needs that aligns with the hospital’s service conditions. This study aims to determine the staffing needs for medical records personnel in the patient registration department using the Health Workload Analysis (ABK-Kes) method in the era of Electronic Medical Records at Santa Elisabeth General Hospital in Bantul. The study design is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document review. The workforce needs analysis was conducted using the Health Workload Analysis (ABK-Kes) method. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of EMR can improve service efficiency and accelerate the patient registration process. The Available Work Time (AWT) for patient registration staff at Santa Elisabeth General Hospital in Bantul is 68,820 minutes per year. The calculated Support Task Standard (STP) was 1,22 with a Support Task Factor (FTP) of 17,79%. Based on the results of calculations using the ABK-Kes method, it was found that there is an excess of one staff member in the patient registration section during the morning shift. In conclusion, the implementation of RME has an impact on the workload of patient registration staff, particularly in terms of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Therefore, workforce requirements must be adjusted to align with the workload and competencies of staff so that services can operate optimally.
