Abstract

Body balance is an essential ability that supports physical activity and motor development in adolescents.
One of the key factors influencing balance is core muscle stability. Unfortunately, a lack of structured
physical activity can lead to weak core muscles among students, affecting their posture and balance. This
community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and ability of students at SMP Negeri 14
Pekanbaru in maintaining body balance through core stability exercises. The methods included education
on the importance of core muscles, exercise demonstrations, and hands-on practice such as plank, bridge,
and dynamic balance exercises. The results showed increased enthusiasm and improved students’ ability to
perform core stability exercises, along with noticeable improvement in posture and balance during simple
evaluations. This program is expected to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among adolescents.
