Abstract

​​ The post partum period is a time when the mother experiences a change in her role. Self care after giving birth which is still lacking in relation to nutrition, breast milk and breastfeeding. Breast milk (ASI) is a liquid secreted by the mother's breast glands in the form of natural foods or the best nutritious and high-energy milk produced during pregnancy. The occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic makes postpartum mothers experience anxiety, which can have an impact on breastfeeding. The problem raised in this study is how the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic anxiety on the release of breast milk for post partum mothers at RSIA Eria Bunda Pekanbaru. In this research, the writer uses the type of survey research. Then the results of the study were obtained where the level of anxiety felt by pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic affected the amount of breast milk produced. Because basically the smooth flow of breast milk is caused by several factors, one of which is the anxiety factor, even though if the mother's mood is comfortable and happy, the milk produced will not experience interference, on the contrary if the mother feels anxious it will hinder the smooth flow of breast milk. Based on the data above and observations to date, the author wants to prove about "INFLUENCE OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ANXIETY ON POST PARTUM MOTHER'S BREASTFEEDING IN RSIA ERIA BUNDA PEKANBARU". The data obtained were taken by interviewing several pregnant women patients at RSIA Eria Bunda Pekanbaru.
