Stroke Golden Hour Education: The Importance of Prompt CT Scan Examination to Prevent Severe Stroke Complications

Abstract

Stroke merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian dan kecacatan di dunia. Keberhasilan penanganan stroke sangat dipengaruhi oleh kecepatan pasien memperoleh pelayanan medis dalam periode golden time, yaitu 0–4,5 jam sejak munculnya gejala. Pemeriksaan CT Scan berperan penting dalam menentukan jenis stroke dan terapi yang tepat. Namun, pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai golden time stroke dan pentingnya CT Scan masih rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota Aisyiyah Banteran mengenai deteksi dini stroke dan urgensi pemeriksaan CT Scan. Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, simulasi metode FAST (Face, Arm, Speech, Time), serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 29 peserta berusia 30–60 tahun. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah edukasi diberikan. Peserta juga menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mengenai konsep golden time stroke, metode FAST, dan peran CT Scan dalam diagnosis stroke. Kegiatan edukasi kesehatan berbasis komunitas terbukti efektif meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai deteksi dini stroke dan pentingnya penanganan cepat untuk mencegah kecacatan maupun kematian akibat stroke.
