There is not much data regarding dysmenorrhea as a problem for adolescents in Indonesia. Embarrassment to the doctor and the tendency to underestimate menstrual disorders such as dysmenorrhea are the reasons why the incidence of dysmenorrhea cannot be absolutely certain. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of peer education on attitudes towards dysmenorrhea in young women at SMAN 3 Musi Rawas
This research uses a quasi-experimental research design (Quasy Experiment). This research was conducted to determine the effect of peer education on attitudes toward dysmenorrhea in young women at SMAN 3 Musi Rawas. The required sample size is 34 teenage girls for each experimental and control group randomly. Research Results There was a change in the attitude of young women in facing dysmenorrhea after being given the peer education method in the experimental group. Researchers suggest that SMA 3 Musi Rawas can increase the provision of IEC (communication, information and education) to adolescents about dysmenorrhea.
