Social support from physiotherapists and the therapeutic relationship play a crucial role in the success of physiotherapy treatment. A strong interaction between physiotherapists and patients can enhance motivation, adherence to rehabilitation programs, and overall therapy outcomes. However, there remains a gap between the theoretical understanding of the therapeutic relationship and its practical implementation in physiotherapy sessions. This study aims to analyze the role of social support from physiotherapists and the therapeutic relationship in improving the effectiveness of physiotherapy. The research employs a qualitative approach, conducting in-depth interviews with physiotherapists and patients to understand their experiences and perceptions of therapeutic interactions. Additionally, an analysis was conducted to identify factors that support or hinder the optimal implementation of the therapeutic relationship in physiotherapy practice. The results indicate that social support provided by physiotherapists, including empathy, effective communication, and active involvement in the therapy process, contributes to increased patient motivation and adherence. Furthermore, a strong therapeutic relationship has been shown to improve clinical outcomes and create a more positive therapy experience. Therefore, strengthening the therapeutic relationship in physiotherapy education and training is essential to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ultimately maximizing patient benefits.
